PATRICK T. FALLON/AFP/Getty Images(PHILADELPHIA) — Protests against the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton continued for a second straight day Monday through scorching temperatures on the streets of Philadelphia, as an atmosphere of division cast a shadow over the Democratic National Convention’s opening night.

The protests stemmed from a number of different groups, including marijuana legalization activists, immigration rights activists, socialists, Green Party supporters, and Black Lives Matter activists, who were unified in their opposition to Clinton and the DNC.

The demonstrations, which have generally been larger than those that took place in Cleveland during the RNC, have followed in the wake of what has been a tumultuous week for Democrats highlighted by an email leak which appeared to show efforts by the party to impede the campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders, and the resignation of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chair of the party.

The protests have resulted in multiple people being detained, police said. No one has been arrested.

Some marchers carried banners that read “Hillary for Prison,” and signs with pictures of Trump and Clinton that read “Either Way, Wall Street Wins.” A group of protesters carried a giant float shaped like a joint, urging government to “end the racist drug war.”

Demonstrators targeted delegates walking on the other side of a dividing line to enter the Wells Fargo arena, and one observer described the mood as “furious.”

In interviews, protesters expressed anger and frustration about the management of the Democratic Party, and about the nomination of Clinton.

“A lot of people feel like their banging their heads against a wall,” a protester wearing a Bernie sticker on his shirt told ABC News in reference to attempts to reform the Democratic Party. “Money corrupts politics.”

“I understand the sentiment never Trump, but there are a lot of people here who are never Hillary,” he added.

He called the alleged efforts of the DNC to stop Sanders “collusion” and “sad to see.”

One woman told ABC News she would be voting for Sanders “regardless” of whether his name was on the ballot.

A man in a Bernie shirt told ABC News that he would be voting for Green Party candidate Jill Stein.

“That’s too bad,” he said, regarding Sanders’ endorsement of Clinton.

The atmosphere of division was felt both inside and outside the Wells Fargo arena. During the invocation, hosted by interim chair Marcia Fudge, boos echoed through the hall, and chants of “Bernie” followed the mention of Clinton’s name.

Michael Loccisano/Getty Images for Tribeca Film FestivalLazarus, the stage production co-written by the late David Bowie and Once playwright Enda Walsh that debuted off-Broadway last November, will premiere at London’s Kings Cross Theatre on October 25. The project was inspired by the 1963 Walter Tevis novel The Man Who Fell to Earth, and focuses on the character Thomas Newton, whom Bowie famously portrayed in the 1976 film version of the book.

Dexter and Six Feet Under actor Michael C. Hall, who starred in the New York City production, will reprise his role for the London version of the play. The show features a variety of classic Bowie tunes as well as the song “Lazarus,” which appeared on Bowie’s 2016 studio album, Blackstar.

Ivo van Hove, who directed the play’s off-Broadway run, also will direct the London production. Performances of Lazarus are scheduled through January 22, 2017.

You can purchase tickets for the London show now at LazarusMusical.com.

As Rolling Stone points out, Bowie’s last public appearance was at Lazarus‘ November 18, 2015, off-Broadway opening. The sold-out production ran until January 20 of this year, 10 days after David died.

iStock/Thinkstock(RIO DE JANEIRO) — Less than two weeks before this summer’s Olympic Games are supposed to kick off in Rio de Janeiro, the head of the Australian team announced that the conditions at the Olympic village were not livable for their athletes.

“Due to a variety of problems in the Village, including gas, electricity and plumbing I have decided that no Australian Team member will move into our allocated building,” Australian Team Chef de Mission Kitty Chiller said in a statement.

“Problems include blocked toilets, leaking pipes, exposed wiring, darkened stairwells where no lighting has been installed and dirty floors in need of a massive clean,” Chiller added.

She also said that in some areas, water has leaked through the ceiling, “resulting in large puddles on the floor around cabling and wiring.”

Chiller said they did a stress test, turning on multiple taps and flushing toilets simultaneously across several floors. She said the test failed, “water came down walls, there was a strong smell of gas in some apartments and there was ‘shorting’ in the electrical wiring.”

She said her group has been living in nearby hotels, “because the Village is simply not safe or ready.”

The Mayor of Rio, Eduardo Paes, responded to Australian’s claims, reportedly saying to local media, “I almost feel like putting a kangaroo to jump up and down in front of their building,” to make them feel at “home.”

In response to the kangaroo comment, the communications director for the Australian Olympic Committee, Mike Tancred, told Brazilian daily newspaper Folha, “We do not need kangaroos, we need plumbers.”

The International Olympic Committee and Rio 2016 officially responded to Australian team’s claims in a statement saying that “it became clear that as the rooms started to be used in all of the buildings some of the rooms required extra work.”

They added that crews will be working “24 hours a day until the issues are resolved,” but that it might take a few days.

“Athletes that are arriving in the Village and whose accommodation is not finished will be placed in the best available accommodation in other buildings. We will be working hard to ensure that the on-going works do not disturb their preparations for the Games –- preparations that will be taking place in fully checked top quality training venues. We regret any inconvenience that this may cause and we greatly appreciate the understanding of the National Olympic Committees at this time,” their statement went on to say.

iStock/Thinkstock(LOS ANGELES) — Men who have dedicated their lives to fighting fires are among those who lost their homes in a massive Los Angeles-area wildfire that has burned more than 33,000 acres, according to authorities.

Firefighters have been working to battle the Sand Fire near Santa Clarita for days. The blaze is at 10 percent containment, officials said Monday.

Several thousand homes threatened by the Sand Fire were saved by firefighters, but the blaze has destroyed about 18 structures — including five homes belonging to fire personnel and forest employees, authorities said.

Firefighters Ramon Chavez and James Robledo and their families are among them.

“We just want to make sure our kids are fine and they’re impacted as little as possible,” Chavez told ABC News.

His wife, Bonnie Chavez, was in San Diego when the family evacuated, but Ramon Chavez called her to see what she wanted him to take — she requested her wedding dress. “For maybe, one day, my daughters,” she said.

The Chavez family also lost a home to fire in 2009.

Ramon Chavez said they’re not only thankful for the support they’re receiving, but “we also want to provide that support.”

“Knowing how important the support from family and friends is, that’s something that we know goes a long way with the healing process and the rebuilding process,” he said.

While they’re living in a hotel with nowhere to return home to, Tanya Robledo said their children are strong and realize the families are safe, which is more important than material things.

“We’re rebuilding together as a family. It’s not just one unit or two, it’s all of us together,” she said.

“With what we lost, we came together as a family,” James Robledo said. “Anytime somebody loses something, we try to pull together.”

“It’s devastating,” he added. “Material things we can replace. But family you can’t.”

Firefighter Sergio Toscano, a Marine veteran who works with the U.S. Forest Service, also lost his home in the Sand Fire, according to ABC’s Los Angeles station KABC. He’s since been assigned to help battle the blaze.

Their families are part of a youcaring.com fundraising page to help rebuild.

iStock/Thinkstock(MOSCOW) — It was the keyboards that gave them away. Russian hackers, typing on keyboards configured in Cyrillic and doing it in a time zone consistent with Moscow, created the “eloquent” code that breached the computers of the Democratic National Committee, according to a top analyst who investigated the hack.

“This was absolutely not an amateur operation … When you look at the totality of all those pieces and you put them together, it kind of paints a really good picture of who the actor was,” Michael Buratowski, the senior vice president of cybersecurity services at Fidelis Cybersecurity, told ABC News Monday. “I come from a law enforcement background, and it’s [about being] beyond a reasonable doubt. And I would say it’s beyond a reasonable doubt … I’m very confident that the malware that we looked at [was from] Russian actors.”

“When we looked at the malware, we found that it was very, very eloquent in its design as well as its functionality — very advanced, not something that script user or lower level hacker would be able to really generate or customize,” he said.

Buratowski said IP addresses linked to the attack were associated with Russian servers. A U.S. official said that it appeared that the hackers never worked on Russian holidays.

And not least to consider, Buratowski said, was the target and timing of the WikiLeaks posting on Friday — which made public 20,000 emails from the pilfered computers.

“We know for a fact that the malicious actors were in there and had access to this data for some time,” he said. “The timing of the release of information from WikiLeaks is very suspect. When you look at it — it was released right before the [Democratic] convention — you have to question what the motivation was behind that.”

Buratowski’s firm was one of three independent cybersecurity firms brought in by another firm, Crowdstrike, to analyze parts of malware that infected computers belonging to the Democratic National Committee. Last month Crowdstrike, which was first to analyze the attack, fingered two Russian hacker groups that the firm said were working for two rival Russian intelligence agencies.

Crowdstrike has already tied one of the hacking teams to a series of attacks on unclassified U.S. government networks last year.

“This shows you espionage has now moved off the just physical realm of recruiting spies and getting information. It’s now through cyber means,” Dmitri Alperovitch, a co-founder of Crowdstrike, told ABC News in June.

Presidential candidates and campaigns have been “a traditional target of Russian intelligence for 100 years, but now [Russia is] doing it for cyber,” he said.

Fidelis and another firm, Mandiant, said last month they agreed that Russia state actors appeared to be to blame for the DNC hack. Buratowski said his firm was given only a portion of the code and therefore could not say if other actors were involved.

Monday, the FBI confirmed it was investigating the breach. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., the ranking Democratic member of the House Intelligence Committee, said the committee was briefed by the intelligence community on the hack. He said the committee will “continue to seek further information from the [intelligence community] as to the origin of any attack and a potential connection to Russia or another state sponsor.”

Despite the confident reports from the several respected cybersecurity firms, cybersecurity expert Kenneth Geers said he’s cautious about blaming the Russians so squarely. Attribution in the case of cyber attacks is notoriously difficult to nail down.

“I think that the world’s three-letter agencies are involved in more information operations than the public would assume. So that’s not to say that this isn’t from Russia. It could be other actors with more obscure intentions,” said Geers, a former Pentagon cybersecurity analyst who recently wrote a book about Russia’s cyber operations in Ukraine. “I’m not discounting it … You can have a preponderance of evidence, and in nation-state cases, that’s likely what you’ll have, but that’s all you’ll have.”

Buratowski doubts it was a setup.

“In the sense it was so complex, it would have taken a lot — it would have had to have been a very elaborate scheme to try and pin it on somebody else,” he said.

A spokesman for the Russian government, Dmitry Peskov, declined to comment on the hacking allegations, according to a Russian news report.

WFAA-TV(DALLAS) — Dallas police said Monday they were still investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy who had been left in a hot car as his family attended church this weekend.

According to police, officers responded to a call from Dallas Fire-Rescue on Sunday around 4:20 p.m. regarding the toddler, who had been found inside of a vehicle at 11000 Shiloh Rd.

“The child was transported to a local hospital where the child was pronounced deceased,” police spokesman Carlos Almeida said.

Almeida said it was “an active investigation” and no further details were available.

According to KidsAndCars.org, Boi Lei Sang, 2, is the fifth child to die in a hot car in Texas this year. Across the U.S., 21 children have died of heatstroke in a vehicle so far this year, compared to 11 children by this time in 2015.

It is not known how long the boy had been in the car.

Reng Om was attending services at Dallas Matu Christian Church with other families when, he said, the father entered the church carrying the unresponsive little boy.

Om told ABC News affiliate WFAA-TV that the family attended the church.

He said that his understanding was that when the father of five didn’t see the child with his four siblings in a classroom, he went looking for him. The boy was found around 3 p.m. in the family’s 2006 Honda Pilot, Om told WFAA-TV.

“The parent was very, you know, just very upset,” Om said. “I’m really upset for him, the family.”

According to the local weather report on WFAA-TV, temperatures in the area reached 100 degrees Sunday.

ABCNews.com(KEY WEST, Fla.) — Move over “The Old Man and the Sea” — this was many old men in Key West, all vying to be the winner of the 36th annual Ernest “Papa” Hemingway Look-Alike Contest.

The reigning champ this year is actually named Dave Hemingway, of Macon, North Carolina, although he claims he is not related to the famous author.

“I think it’s about time that Hemingway won a Hemingway look-alike contest,” he said after winning the competition adorned in a wool turtleneck sweater, much like the famed author’s.

Hemingway beat out 139 other entrants on his seventh attempt for the title.

“I do feel like Ernest because I’m in the same town that he lived in for so many years,” the bearded man explained. “I like to fish, I like to drink a little bit, I like women, and I just like having a good fun time.”

One of the other competitors also included famous southern chef Paula Deen’s husband, Michael Groover of Savannah, Georgia. Groover finished within the top five for the second year in a row.

The contest took place at Sloppy Joe’s Bar in Key West, a local watering hole the author often frequented while he lived there in the 1930s.

ABC/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — She might not be the “biggest fish” in Hollywood, but that’s just fine with Kristen Bell. “Those big fish sometimes have a hard time,” the Bad Moms star told CBS Sunday Morning. “I can still go to the grocery store.”

Bell’s focus remains her family not fame, the Frozen voiceover actress noted, sharing for the very first time pictures of her “tiny” wedding to actor Dax Shepard.

While some stars are more famous for their multimillion dollar weddings that are expensive as their marriages are short, Bell and her hubby had a simple, no-frills courthouse wedding in 2013 that remains one of the highlights of Bell’s life.

“We got married in a tiny room in the Beverly Hills courthouse, and it was still one of the best days of my life,” Bell explained, showing the couple’s attire was equally understated: Shepard is wearing a black tuxedo with bow tie and Bell has on a simple black top and pants with a statement necklace.

Bell got emotional while talking about her actor husband and the father of their two young daughters.

“He’s a wonderful father,” she said, tearing up.

“He knows the value of things. He was an addict for many, many years and he pulled himself out of it, and he’s been sober for 11 or 12 years now,” Bell added. “And he knows how many times he’s messed up and how many times he’s been really closing to losing everything.”

Bell also knows the value of family. The Bad Moms star, who has appeared with her husband in ads for Samsung Electronics and will star alongside him in a movie next year, doesn’t take what she has for granted.

“I always think, if I’m on my deathbed, what am I gonna be thinking about? And it won’t be some random movie I participated in, or some TV show. It will be my family,” Bell said.
