KC Counts

Hi! It's KC here to tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in El Paso but probably would have been born in Las Cruces had the family ranch not become a bombing range! The Love Ranch sits on what is now NASA test property...that was my Great-Grandaddy Love's ranch; he was a Doctor who garnered national attention for his mobile surgery unit that he would take all around New Mexico. My Grandmother Lee on the other side of my family know of him long before my mother and father were born. The Lee family homesteaded in Portales after traveling via covered wagon from the South because the mother and father both had TB. They were called lungers back in the day...they died when their youngest was just a baby but there were ten siblings who all pitched in to take care of each other. They all served in the WWII effort somehow; the greatest sacrifice from my Great Uncle Gordon (NM National Guard) who died after the Bataan Death March on one of the prisoner transport ships.

Then the gene pool really started to thin out...and here I am! On the radio every day making funnies with Mike McKay for over 12 years now! Clint and I are approaching our 16th anniversary, Bacon is still alive and well...and the animal count keeps groing (Clint said one more and he's moving out - what should I get? haha)

Join me on the Facebook or e-mail me here or call anytime Weekdays 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. during Your Morning Show to chat. Thanks for listening!

From the top!  I was raised by jewelry merchants, gamblers and carny folk all throughout my childhood and young adult life....no joke, serioulsy I'll play cards with you with your watch on the line while im about to be lowered into a water tank while in a strait jacket!  I was seduced by radio at the tender age of 18 and began my career in El Paso Texas.  My radio career went into hiberbnation for a while and for a time I traveled these 50 states looking for poker games and casinos all while living out of my car and hotels, ahh life on the road.  Suddenly I felt that I needed to put an end to my rovering ways and get back to what I love most and thats getting back on the mic.

As luck would have it I bumped into K.C. Counts and after a few drinks (and some badly sung karaoke songs) she got me back into radio and here we are today!  Let me just say the people of Las Cruces and the loyal listeners of 101 Gold are like family to me now.  Its been a great journey so far and being here on 101 Gold makes the trip a whole lot sweeter!

Donna Dollar

So, lets see what's new with me since I joined the 101 Gold Bravo Mic Communications Team. Drum Roll please……… I'm nearing my 3rd year mark in November and am having a blast! You'll be happy to hear I've finally made the move to Las Cruces! The only thing Las Cruces needs to do is watch out for me driving the Box that Rocks!

Last but certainly not least, I have been hitting the gym and looking mighty buff. Okay, well not quite yet but I have been lifting and running three times a week and loving every minute of it. That’s about it for now. Thank you for being a part of my life, I couldn't do it without you! Talk to you soon!

Scott McCarthy

Scott moved around a bit as a kid …well, his parents did; but he kept finding them!

He was born in Michigan and lived in Louisville and LA before settling in Phoenix at 14.

Scott’s a devil! A Sundevil, that is…he majored in Broadcasting at ASU. Scott’s talents took him to Oklahoma, Texas, then back to Phoenix…then back to Texas again. You might remember Scott as a long time afternoon host at some crummy country station in El Paso…but now you can hear him right here at home in Las Cruces at 101 Gold. Scott has a lot of fans here at Bravo Mic Communications and his quick wit will make you a fan too!
