Joe Walsh Helps on Two New Projects, Old and New

Following his participation in the 50th anniversary celebration of the Beatles’ first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show — which aired in February as the special The Beatles: The Night That Changed America — A Grammy Salute — the Eagles guitarist was drafted to help out on two other projects.

Walsh confirms to The Hollywood Reporter, “I was a Foo Fighter for two days and played on a track of theirs that’s gonna come out.”

That’s not all.  Although that collaboration has been buzzed about in the alt-rock world for a while, Joe Walsh says he’s put his stamp on another tune, telling The Hollywood Reporter, “I also play guitar on a War song, so I’m a low rider and a Foo Fighter.”

There’s no word yet on a release date for the War material, but news should be coming shortly about the new Foo Fighters album.  Stay tuned.
