Las Vegas is now home to the world’s tallest Ferris wheel, the 550-foot High Roller, which opened to the public on Monday (March 31st). The High Roller tops the 541-foot Singapore Flyer as well as the 443-foot London Eye, and is expected to hold the title until planned Ferris wheels are built in the coming years in New York and Dubai. The High Roller has 28 glass-enclosed, air-conditioned gondolas that can hold up to 40 people each. Tickets are $24.95 during the day and $34.95 at night — when the wheel changes colors from blue to red to green to purple — for a 30-minute ride. The High Roller is part of a $550 million restaurant, bar, retail and entertainment development built by Caesars Entertainment Corp. across the Strip from Caesar’s Palace.
