Paul McCartney sure likes stopping traffic. Yesterday  the former Beatle performed a surprise four-song sampler from his upcoming album, New, in the heart of New York City’s Times Square. At 12 noon McCartney tweeted, “Wow! Really excited to be playing New York Times Square at 1pm this afternoon!” An hour later, “Macca” was blasting through the fall air with songs from his new album — “New,” “Save Us,” and “Everybody Out There,” before closing with the live premiere of his latest single “Queenie Eye.”
