Listen for the replay between 10 am and 7 pm to win 4 Western Playland tickets.

The 101 number one song of the day was the title cut to an album that started a feud between one of the band members and the daughter of a U.S. president.

She, at one time, was living with another member of the band, Bernie Leadon, and in an interview with the Las Vegas Sun newspaper about a song they had written together which was included on the album.   She was quoted as saying, “I was very lucky, I made quite a bit of money and still get royalties.”  That statement infuriated Don Henley, who shot off a letter to the paper declaring that Bernie was responsible for most of the song and her contribution was limited to a few words.  Besides, he said, the song – I Wish You Peace – was “smarmy cocktail music and certainly not something the band was proud of.”  He was referring to President Reagan’s daughter, Patti Davis.  The album’s title cut reached number one on August 2, 1975 for the Eagles “One of these Nights”
