Listen for the replay between 10 am and 7 pm to win 4 Western Playland tickets.
The 101 # 1 Song of the day was written and recorded by a onetime ditch digger who got his famous nickname from a black and yellow t-shirt he used to wear all the time.
His real name is Gordon Sumner and he was born in England. He teamed up with a drummer named Stewart Copeland from America who grew up in the middle east as the son of a CIA agent. Gutarist Andy Summers made them a trio and they began their climb to the top where they arrived during the summer of 1983 with a song that stayed at number one for eight weeks and it became the number one song of the entire year and it’s today’s 101 # 1 Song of the Day. And BTW, Gordon Sumner – with the black and yellow shirt that he favored – earned him the nickname “Sting.” The Police and Every Breath You Take.
