1913: Notre Dame introduced the forward pass. Quarterback Gus Dorais completed 17 of 21 passes to receiver Knute Rockne to defeat a surprised Army team 35 to 13.
1964: Another British rock and roll band appeared on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” Sullivan said, “Unlike the Rolling Stones, these are nice, neat boys.” It was the Dave Clark Five.
