It began on this day in 1951 and to this day people are laughing.  Plus a most unlikely star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.  And finally, a disastrous concert leads to a big hit.

National School Lunch Week begins today.







Today is National Grouch Day, a day to be grumpy, ungrateful, and cantankerous.








1951: “I Love Lucy,” starring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, premiered on CBS-TV. New episodes were produced for six years, CBS re-ran episodes through 1961, and syndicated reruns still play every day somewhere.  It was just recently voted the number one TV show of all time.






1989 Billy Graham is awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Huh?





1971 This performer was booed when he performed new material at an oldies show at Madison Square Garden. As a result, he wrote this song: “Garden Party” Rick Nelson.
