The 101 # 1 Song of the Day – 10-4-12

Today’s 101 # 1 Song of the Day was picked by Michael Jackson as the cut that should be released as the first single from the album “The Game.” They should have listened.

As it turned out, this particular track was preceded by two others and to be fair, the first song did get to number one but the second release “Play the Game” only made it to number 42 on Billboard’s Hot 100.  Today’s song was finally released as a single on August 16, 1980 and took only weeks to reach number one which was on this very day October 4^th for Queen.  It became their biggest hit ever.  It’s Another One Bites the Dust.
