The 101 number one song of the day was from a group in the tradition of the Crystals, the Marvelettes, and the Chiffons but there was a difference.  Read on to find out what that was.

They were three girls from New Jersey who made up the first all white girl group to get to the top of the charts.  Two of them were sisters, Barbara and Phyllis Allbut and the third was their friend Peggy Santiglia who sang lead.  Their first single, called “Til” reached number 14, their second, “Cry baby Cry” went to number 38 but the third single they recorded got them to the top and during this week in 1963 it was number one for the Angels (My Boyfriends’s Back)
