101 # 1 Song of the Day, June 13, 2012

The 101 number one song of the day was the fifth consecutive number one song by the only American group to achieve that feat.

Shortly after it reached number one the group achieved status that reflected the ultimate crossover – headlining at one of American’s top venues – the Copacabana in New York City. Critics loved the show as much as the opening night audience. Said the leader of the group: “It was the beginning of everything for us. We made it where it really counted…at the Copa.” And here with their fifth consecutive number one which ruled the charts on June 13, 1965 are the Supremes –Back in My Arms Again.
