On this day in 1950 the FBI began

its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List as a way to get the public’s help in finding the nation’s most dangerous criminals. The picture above is Ted Bundy. Remember him? He came along some time later.

1964: A jury in Dallas found Jack Ruby guilty of murdering Lee Harvey Oswald, the accused assassin of President John Kennedy.

2004 Thieves steal more than $300,000 worth of jewelry from the Las Vegas museum. The jewelry had belonged to one of Vegas’ most memorable entertainers. It was called: Elvis-A-Rama.
