Sobriety Checkpoints This Month!

The Las Cruces Police Department encourages those who plan on consuming alcoholic beverages to plan ahead of time and use a designated driver – someone who will not be drinking alcoholic beverages.

Police encourage you to have all updated paperwork with you to get through checkpoints faster, and also encourage residents to report disorderly gatherings or loud house parties. City of Las Cruces ordinance 19-94 prohibits loud or unruly gatherings, and violators of that law can be subjected to a fine and up to 30 days in jail.
