Las Cruces police issued 55 citations Tuesday during a two-hour traffic enforcement operation held on Lohman Avenue. The operation began at 11:30 a.m. between Foothills Road and Roadrunner Parkway. The operation netted 24 citations to drivers who were using a cell phone while driving. Another 10 citations were issued to motorists who were not using a seat belt.
